Nexus owners, you have an update waiting for tonight. The version number 2.3.6 (GRK39F), applying the law most GRJ22 2.3.4. If you have not yet reached his OTA, we have the download link and instructions below.
As for the changes it brings, we have not much to go on with the following exceptions propaganda. “Important bug fixes and security patches” If something like update 2.3.6 Nexus S, contain a solution to the voice search error (this was still a problem in the Nexus One? Speech).
Note: If you do not have GRJ22 (2.3.4), then head over here and install GRJ22 first, then proceed further.
Note: This may or may not work if you’re rooted.
As always, proceed at your own risk.
To download and apply the update on the Nexus One manually, follow these steps:
Download the update file from Google’s servers GRK39F-de-GRJ22 and rename it to update.zip (make sure it is named update.zip update.zip. zip and if you’re using Windows and I have it configured to hide file extensions).
Move the file to the root of your SD card using your favorite method – the simplest way is probably to mount the phone as a disk using a USB cable.
Restart the phone and when a backup starts, hold down the volume knob and buttons.
If you see the boot loader, select it.
The phone will restart in recovery, but first it will display an exclamation point and a triangle. At this point, mixing power and volume buttons up a couple of times until the display shows the recovery.
Select Apply update.zip sdcard, which should start the update process.
2.3.6 Android Reboot and enjoy.
